PlanArc Auto-Sync — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

PlanArc Auto-Sync keeps a student's PlanArc planner up to date with their Canvas coursework. Syncing is off by default: the extension collects nothing until the student agrees to an in-product disclosure shown at install. After the student opts in, the first time they open Canvas in a browser session, the extension collects the assignments, instructor announcements, and module lists of the courses they are actively enrolled in, and sends them — along with the student's own Canvas email address — to PlanArc's server solely to create and update tasks in the student's PlanArc academic planner. Syncing happens at most once per browser session and can be turned off at any time with the toolbar button.

Classmates' content is excluded in the browser and never transmitted: discussion replies are never read, and announcement or discussion text is only sent when it was written by the course instructor/TA or by the student themself. The extension does not read the content of the pages the student browses.

We do not sell data. We do not show ads. We do not track browsing activity. Data is not transferred to any third party; it goes only to PlanArc's own service.
